Wondershare MP4 Converter Suite

Wondershare MP4 Converter Suite consists of a DVD ripper and a converter. Both of them allow you to convert files to MP4, M4V, and AVI.

The applications come preloaded with a variety of conversion profiles for several different devices. There are profiles for iPods, iPhones, Apple TV, Playstation Portable and Playstation 3, mobile phones, and portable multimedia devices. Those conversion profiles are basically optimized conversion settings for those devices, but you can create your own profiles or modify the ones that come with the app.

The DVD ripper has a very simple design that is quite intuitive. The converter is almost identical to the ripper in terms of design. Both of them have a basic video editor and the conversion profiles that I have mentioned above. They both also have a video player that you can use to preview your videos or, in the case of the ripper, the different titles. The ripper allows you to select the audio and subtitle tracks that you want on your converted file.

In terms of performance, both applications work well, and are on par with other converters and rippers out there in speed of conversion and quality. There is no mention of GPU acceleration, so I take it it is not a feature in these tools.
